& Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Practice Information

  • TASC offers psychotherapy, psychological assessment, clinical supervision, and professional consultation.

Therapy. As the most common service at TASC Psychology, individuals can initiate individual, group, and relationship counseling. Individuals may also elect to participate in individual and group therapy. In our efforts to provide accessible services, we offer in-person, telehealth, or hybrid formats for therapy. All treatment modalities and interventions are consistent with best practices. You can learn more about therapy and evidence-based treatment options.

Assessment. Assessment services include diagnostic assessments, as well as forensic evaluations and other types of assessments. Learn more about the process here.

Supervision. Independent supervision is offered for emerging therapists pursuing licensure in Professional Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy. Individuals have the options for individual, dyad, or group supervision or some combination. Additionally, TASC Psychology offers clinical supervision for licensed professionals. Learn more here.

Consultation. Professional consultation services assist individuals from various disciplines and cover a range of topics. More information is provided here.

  • Dr. Grusecki maintains a professional license in the State of Wisconsin. She is the sole provider affiliated with TASC Psychology and TASC Psychological Services, LLC. However, TASC Psychology works with other providers, who act as their own independent entities, some of whom are included on our referral list.

  • Psychological services are available to adult (ages 18+) residents of Wisconsin. TASC offers flexible options for in-person and telehealth services for therapy, supervision, and consultation. The format for assessment depends on the nature of the assessment.

Individuals can initiate services at TASC Psychology, regardless of background, legal status, or orientation. TASC accepts self- and provider-referrals for psychotherapy and assessment services. Individuals can inquire for forensic services on their own behalf, although Dr. Grusecki is traditionally retained by legal representatives or appointed by the Court.

All services begin with a free initial consultation. Schedule an initial consult here or by selecting the scheduling option found on each service page.

  • At this time, TASC only offers services to adult (ages 18+) residents of Wisconsin.

TASC Psychology does not prescribe medication or offer medication management or related services.

TASC Psychology is not a good fit for individuals who are acutely symptomatic, require ongoing crisis intervention, or are assessed to be in need of a higher level of care. In these situations, TASC Psychology makes efforts to assist individuals as they get connected for services.

  • The length of treatment is highly individualized and, of course, based on the nature of service. With therapy, the overarching goal is for you to transfer insight and skills into your life. However, as individuals progress in therapy, the focus can shift; thus, therapy may continue with a new, targeted focus. Others elect to continue to engage in long-term therapy, more consistent with supportive therapy, with decreased frequency and less structure to maintain therapeutic gains. In essence, we want people to achieve their goals and thrive in their own life. Individuals who conclude services at TASC Psychology have the option to resume services if or when needed and as appropriate.

  • Fees for services at TASC Psychology range substantially depending on the nature of the service. In other words, psychotherapy rates are different from assessment services. Fees also range within each type of service based on the nature of the service (e.g., individual therapy versus couples or group, and diagnostic assessments differ from forensic evaluations).

In general, psychotherapy services are priced as follows for 50-minute sessions:

    • Individual session: $200

    • Couples or relationship: $310

Clients who have previously worked with Dr. Grusecki or return for services are set at a different, previously established rate.

Please note, all fees are commensurate with Dr. Grusecki’s credentials, training and specializations, and community standards.

  • A select number of openings are reserved for those interested in sliding-scale or low-fee services, with additional options for payment plans. TASC Psychology also reserves a select number of openings for individuals in the food service industry and other mental health professionals who wish to seek their own therapy.

As TASC Psychology remains committed to providing accessible care, everyone interested in services is encouraged to reach out, regardless of financial situation or limitations.

  • Information regarding fees and payment is provided in response to inquiries. It is then discussed during the initial consult and outlined in the initial paperwork (i.e., consent forms, retainer agreement, supervision and consultation contract). Payment is due at the time of service, unless otherwise agreed upon. Additionally, TASC Psychology offers payment plans and membership-style financial options. Payment plans are outlined at the outset of service or if individuals have a change to their financial status over the course of therapy. Membership options include a one-time, monthly payment for psychotherapy services. Membership options are billed at the beginning of the month.

All major credit cards and HSA/FSA cards are accepted. Individuals add their financial information to their secure portal prior to the initial session. TASC Psychology does not retain or upload credit card information.

  • TASC Psychology is not affiliated with any particular insurance panel at this time. Therefore, TASC is considered “out of network.” This is to ensure the greatest level of privacy, flexibility and control of your treatment and mental health records.

  • Mentaya: TASC Psychology partners with Mentaya for clients who wish to seek reimbursement. Individuals can check their reimbursement options by visiting Mentaya. Dr. Grusecki is also happy to check your options following the initial consultation. When individuals choose to use Mentaya, they are charged at the time of their session and then responsible for filing claims. Doing so exclusively benefits you.

Superbills: Upon on request, individuals are provided with a superbill, which documents the services provided and payment rendered. Individuals are responsible for submitting documentation for reimbursement to their respective insurance providers. TASC Psychology does not submit documents to insurance. Additionally, existing clients are able to access service invoices via a secure portal to their electronic medical record.

    • Confirming Out of Network Benefits: Individuals are responsible to confirm out of network benefits and options for reimbursement with their insurance provider. This is done by calling the number on the back of your insurance card, and asking for the reimbursement rate.

  • You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call (800) 985-3059.
